Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Montebello, California. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in administering radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to detect and treat diseases. Your expertise will be essential in performing screening procedures, coordinating patient flow, and maintaining procedure quality control.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation
  • Coordinate patient flow and maintain procedure quality control
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for therapeutic and diagnostic studies
  • Measure and calculate doses of radioactive materials
Requirements:
  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
  • State Nuclear Medicine License (required in CA and HI)
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Venipuncture certification (required in CA and HI)
