Diagnostic Imaging Technologist PRN

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist PRN at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients. This is a PRN position, which means you will work on an as-needed basis to ensure we have the right team members in place to meet the needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various technical procedures that require independent judgment, including computed tomography (CT) scans, to apply prescribed ionizing radiation techniques and determine the type of procedure to be done with or without contrast media.
- Position patients and equipment to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including CT scanners, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of imaging protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiography program.
- Registered Technologist (R.T.) in Radiography (R) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Active Kentucky certification in Radiography (R) from the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT).
- BLS certification.
- 1 year experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred and requires training in CT.
