The Porter role is vital in supporting the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of our community, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. This position demands exceptional customer service skills to assist in attracting and retaining residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and complete necessary safety training while actively identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Uphold company standards regarding cleanliness, community appearance, and customer service.
  • Assist maintenance and landscaping personnel as needed.
  • Contribute to occupancy goals by ensuring vacant apartments and common areas are cleaned daily and reporting maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Maintain the upkeep of community amenities as directed by the Community/Service Manager.
  • Deliver packages, notes, and flyers to residents' apartments.
  • Perform painting tasks as required, including touch-ups and curb painting.
  • Clean BBQ grills, which involves disassembly, using appropriate cleaners, and thorough scrubbing.
  • Collect and dispose of loose mail, trash, and debris responsibly.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning (wiping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming), restock supplies, and manage waste in assigned areas within the community buildings and grounds.
  • Utilize approved cleaning chemicals and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to interact effectively with management, coworkers, visitors, and residents.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Availability to work weekends or as required.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Basic computer skills (timekeeping).
  • Previous janitorial experience is advantageous.
