About the Role:

The University of Virginia Health System is seeking an American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic team in Northern Virginia and Culpeper.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care
  • Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation
  • Medical supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
  • Formulate a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care
  • Implement, monitor, and adjust patient physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patient needs
  • Transfer responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety
  • Support operating room procedures
  • Participate in additional areas of responsibility
  • Assume responsibility for professional development of self and contribute to and assist with the professional development of others
  • Call not to exceed 1 in 4
