  • BLS certification is mandatory
  • ACLS certification required for specialized units such as ICU, ER, PCU, Cath Lab, PACU, Tele, and Respiratory Therapists
  • PALS certification necessary for PICU, ER, and PACU
  • NRP certification is essential for NICU, Nursery, Antepartum, PostPartum, and Labor & Delivery units
  • Chemo certification required for Oncology units
  • TNCC certification needed for ER
  • EFM certification required for Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby/Post Partum, and Nursery
Position Details:
  • Focus Area: Long-Term Care RN
  • Start Date: Immediate availability required
  • Patient Ratios: 8:1 during the day; 13:1 at night
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in Nursing home/LTC or Home Health settings preferred; travel experience is advantageous
  • Epic Experience: 1 year of Epic usage preferred
  • Weekend Requirements: To be determined
  • Time Off Restrictions: No specific holiday requirements, but working one holiday may be requested if the assignment spans multiple recognized holidays
  • Guaranteed Work Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Common Diagnoses/Procedures: Includes CVA, Dementia, RA, Afib, Hip fractures, Parkinson's, BKA, PNA, COPD, Huntington's disease
  • Equipment Utilized: Hoyer lift, SARA lift, tube feeding pump, IV pump
  • This unit operates as a Long-Term Care facility but functions similarly to an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg. Certain acute care patients are not accepted, and a hybrid medication administration process is utilized.
Job Requirements:
  • Preferred experience in Nursing home/LTC or Home Health settings for at least 2 years
  • 1 year of Epic experience preferred
  • BLS certification is a must
  • Skills in IV Insertion and PICC Lines are required
  • Open to block scheduling arrangements: To be determined
  • Local candidates are not accepted
  • Pending licenses are accepted
Schedule Information:
  • Shift Pattern: 3x12 Night shifts (7pm-7:30am)
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Floating within scope to meet facility needs is rare
  • Guaranteed Work Hours: 36 hours per week
Unit Specific Information:
  • This is a Long-Term Care unit functioning similarly to an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg
Additional Information:
  • Signing of SS verification release is required
  • AHA, MTN, and Canadian AHA certifications are required for various roles
  • COVID-19 Travel Policy: Review the relevant travel policies and guidelines prior to commencement
