Healthcare Support Specialist

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Overview:
This position is primarily based in Lebanon, with occasional responsibilities at nearby facilities as required.

Role Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Support Specialist will:
- Prepare patients for their appointments by conducting a comprehensive room process, which includes documenting the chief complaint, measuring vital signs, reviewing medical history and allergies, and performing thorough medication reconciliation.
- Utilize the Encounter Guide to address any open care gaps, such as fall risk assessments, depression screenings, and cancer screenings.
- Assist with in-office procedures, including blood draws, mental status evaluations, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer vaccinations and other injections as permitted by practice scope.
- Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical team to ensure effective delivery of care plans.
Qualifications:
For Medical Assistants:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a clinical healthcare setting, ideally within a primary care environment.
For Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN):
- Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Licensure: Active LPN license.
- Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a clinical healthcare setting, ideally within a primary care environment.
