Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead our engineering team in conducting projects from start to finish.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to conduct engineering tasks, further developing judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
  • Exercise judgment to develop details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
  • Oversee engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
  • Manage design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Direct data collection and analysis activities
  • Undertake preliminary and detailed design activities
  • Responsible for the preparation of technical memoranda, preliminary, and detailed design reports
  • Liaison with equipment suppliers and vendors
  • Prepare technical specifications, special provisions, and forms of tender
  • Review quantity and cost estimates for completeness and accuracy
  • Contract administration services during project construction

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering and four years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. You should also have a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within six months from hire date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Five years of experience on hydraulic systems, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or similar fields
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (e.g., Civil 3D, GIS, hydraulic analysis, process modeling)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Positive attitude and strong initiative to learn and excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with project management concepts and principles
  • Willingsness to travel remotely occasionally for construction observation and client meetings

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
