We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishwasher Associate at Richland Community College. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for trays, plates, bowls, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
- Ensure designated work areas are clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
- Put away clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in the kitchen and cafeterias.
- Restock cafeteria supplies and equipment as needed.
- Clean and maintain dishwashing machines, sinks, and other kitchen equipment.
- Remove trash and recycling to the dumpster.
- Sweep and mop floors as needed.
- Conduct general cleaning and deep cleaning as directed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid food handling license or willingness to obtain the license at the expense of the college.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers, police recruits, corrections cadets, staff, guests, and catering clients.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Must know proper sanitation techniques.
- Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification.
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen.
This role is located at the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center. The working environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a kitchen setting with hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is $14.50 per hour. Uniforms are provided by the college, and employees are required to furnish themselves with non-slip shoes and black pants.
