About the Role

Interdynamics, Inc. is a leading provider of mental health services, delivering a wide range of programs to clients across the lifespan. We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Substance Abuse Therapist will provide drug and alcohol counseling to students and families, performing intake/assessment, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration with the broader care team. This role presents the opportunity to have a high impact on youth clients in their most comfortable and accessible setting, in addition to the opportunity for extensive collaboration and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students and families
  • Conduct intake/assessment and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in a related field is required
  • A license in Maryland for Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LCADC, LGADC, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, ADT) is required and candidates must be in good standing with the licensing board
  • A clinical license in social work, counseling or marriage and family therapy in Maryland (LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMSW, LCMFT, LMFT) is desired
  • Experience with child and/or adolescent mental health is strongly preferred
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills are essential
