Pediatric Endocrinology Program Overview
Parkview Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our Pediatric Subspecialty Team at our Main Campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
This is an outstanding opportunity to build a comprehensive community-based pediatric endocrinology practice, with the support of a large community-based health system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the new Pediatric Endocrinology program at Parkview
- Manage a 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient workload
- Collaborate with a strong team of advanced practice providers, registered nurses, and diabetes educators
- Be involved in quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in clinical teaching and medical student education through IU School of Medicine Fort Wayne
The Team
- Work with a comprehensive team of 2 advanced practice providers, 2 registered nurses, and 2 diabetes educators to support the physician in providing care for children with diabetes, thyroid, and endocrine disorders
- Collaborate with a thriving Adult Endocrinology Program with 4 adult endocrinologists and 4 advanced practice providers
- Be part of a robust group of pediatric specialties and pediatric outpatient care
Parkview Health's Enterprise Diabetes Program
- Be part of a robust Enterprise Diabetes Program, headed by a Director and Medical Director
- Contribute to a dedicated inpatient and outpatient diabetes education program
- Use an integrated Epic platform and diabetes clinical registry
- Implement Glucommander insulin management and surveillance program throughout the Parkview Hospital system
- Collaborate with an ambulatory clinical pharmacy program embedded in primary care
Parkview Women's and Children's Hospital
- Work at a 97-bed dedicated Women's and Children's care unit, with 40 Family Birthing, 34 NICU, 16 Pediatrics, and 7 PICU beds
- Collaborate with Cincinnati Children's Hospital, the ranked pediatric hospital in the US, to bring access to the nation's top pediatric experts
- Provide expert care for children of all ages, with a warm and comforting environment
- Be part of a compassionate team of experienced physicians, expert nurses, and highly trained clinical staff
