Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team at WinStar World Casino. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items for our buffet, adhering to strict food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all types of food items for the buffet, using standardized recipes and methods of preparation, as directed by other kitchen team members.
  • Maintain responsibility for kitchen and personal safety and sanitation, as well as care of kitchen equipment.
  • Operate a broad range of kitchen equipment, including stoves, broilers, deep fryers, and other food prep equipment, and use hand tools, knives, and other related small wares.
  • Replenish prep line food items as necessary to ensure proper presentation and availability for guests.
  • Respond to guest preferences and concerns by communicating in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests.
  • Ensure proper food storage and food serving temperatures.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, per business need.
  • Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 or over.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with team members, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.
  • Professional training through a culinary education or working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant/catering facility, full-service casual dining preferred.
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or related Food Service Job Experience.
  • All employees must obtain a valid gaming license from the Gaming Commission prior to beginning work and are required to have the license renewed as mandated by the Gaming Commission.
