Job Summary

CGL Facility Management, LLC is seeking a skilled Locksmith to join our team. As a Locksmith, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of locks, electronic access equipment, and related hardware. You will also be responsible for making keys and performing routine or emergency functions related to the locksmith position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and/or corrective maintenance on new and existing locks, locking controls, doors, and other equipment in accordance with work orders or direction from Facility Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Install, repair, and maintain pneumatic locking systems, door positioning sensors, electric doors, and manual and electronic panic devices openers.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electro-magnetic latching systems; wires and installs card reading and scanning devices.
  • Establish key lock and related systems, which permit controlled access to buildings, and ensures security.
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust locks; checks keys and locks for wear and repairs or replaces them.
  • Respond to emergency requests regarding problems with building locking devices and services within established standards of promptness.
  • Perform required administrative tasks pertaining to the position, such as work order documentation and general record keeping.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Required or 4-6 years locksmith or maintenance experience in commercial environments Required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to read and ascertain information on electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completes all documentation required in compliance with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Must be a team player, have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed.
  • Must provide outstanding customer service to meet the needs of our client.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Hold licenses/certifications as required by local, state and federal regulations.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
