Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze claims to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain and verify provider information and contract configurations within managed care transaction systems.
- Utilize coding certifications (CPC, CPCH, AHIMA, etc.) to accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various managed care transaction systems, including EPIC, EZ Cap, Facets, and QNXT.
- Apply knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-9/ICD-10, and HCPCS codes in daily operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to detailed data entry protocols with a focus on accuracy in a complex managed care environment.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting strict deadlines.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word proficiently, alongside navigating the internet for research and information gathering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ICD10CM CPT coding.
- Experience with Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Commercial Payers processing.
- Knowledge in managing claims denials effectively.
