We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to support the Payroll Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Payroll Processing: Assist in preparing weekly payroll for 5000+ employees, including data entry, timekeeping, adjustments, and calculation of wages and deductions.
- Data Maintenance: Maintain accurate employee records, including changes in salary, tax withholding, and personal information.
- Verify Timekeeping Records: Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to hours worked.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience in payroll processing or a similar role is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel, strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail, knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
