We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Retention Specialist to join our team at ThedaCare. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a critical role in identifying and retaining top nursing talent for our health system.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with recruitment and nursing leadership to develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top nursing talent.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring leaders to analyze data and identify drivers of nursing recruitment and retention.
- Provide guidance, instruction, and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Serve as an employee ambassador to provide support and feedback to staff.
- Ensure a welcoming and thorough onboarding process that incorporates our ThedaCare culture.
- Function as a leader, mentor, educator, consultant, and coach to the nursing workforce.
- Coordinate and implement the ThedaCare and Mentoring Program.
- Facilitate evidence-based practice and research projects to foster resiliency and professional growth of the nursing workforce.
- Initiate relationships with newly hired nurses and provide ongoing support throughout their employment.
- Assist in retention and recruitment activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in acute hospital setting; experience in nursing leadership or education preferred.
- Current Wisconsin RN licensure and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to analyze data and provide complex mental processes.
This role is based in a climate-controlled office environment, with frequent sitting and movement throughout the office space. Occasional high noise levels may be present in the work environment.
