We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Nurse PRN to join our team at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center. As a PACU Nurse PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our post-anesthesia care unit.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to post-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective communication.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance the quality of patient care and promote a culture of safety.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Tennessee or compact licensure.
- 1 year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of employment start date.
