About the Role:

Job Summary

A skilled clinician with prior specialty experience is preferred, with a focus on expanding knowledge and competencies. Regularly delivers effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team to a diverse range of complex patients. Actively seeks and provides feedback to enhance clinical practices. Assumes an initial clinical bedside leadership role and pursues mentorship in this journey. Functions as a professional member of VOICE professional nursing shared governance, contributing insights on topics discussed in meetings. Engages as a member of VOICE councils and Nursing Quality Teams as appropriate. Actively participates in Unit Council to aid in strategies aimed at improving NDNQI nursing-sensitive indicators, RN Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Culture of Safety, and Patient Experience metrics. Collaborates with other care team members to attract and retain a high-quality nursing staff. For new graduate clinical RNs: primarily focuses on developing knowledge and skills while demonstrating growth in the ability to care for increasingly complex patients. Responsible for delivering direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process and coordinating care for assigned patients during a shift to promote optimal clinical outcomes. Requires consultation with more experienced clinicians and welcomes feedback as a constructive tool for professional development.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
  • Educational Requirements: Associates Degree
  • Minimum Experience: Three years of experience in Critical Care. Emergency Department experience will be considered.
  • Other: National certification in clinical specialty (or within 6 months of hire)

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Preferred Licensure or other certifications: National certification in clinical specialty
  • Preferred Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  • Preferred Experience: Five years of experience in Critical Care. Emergency Department experience will be considered.
