About the Position

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Developer (Electronic Warfare)-Senior to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment that is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats.
  • Support software development, software integration, customer training, and demonstrations.
  • Use knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented software design.
  • Work with software programmers to develop and refine simulation presentation of real-world ELINT parametric data.
  • Work with SMEs using the EWIRDB database for complex waveforms analysis associated with a wide range of red and blue force systems.
  • Work with SMEs for signal translation of waveform data into a descriptive and behavioral modeling & Simulation language for Development and Test.
  • Use knowledge of threat system analysis and sensor modeling of radars, electronic warfare (EW) systems, countermeasures, electro-optical, infrared (EO/IR) systems, and various weapons.
  • Participate in software test activities to include test procedure creation and test plan development.
  • Collaborate with team members to design future enhancements.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; Degree in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least 3 years of C++ experience.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • 4 years of experience with scripting, database programming, and languages such as Modern C++, Python, and/or Lua.
  • 3 years of experience working with Electronic Warfare integrated reprogramming database (EWIRDB).
  • Experience working with Basic Radar Modeling.
  • The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance-Secret Clearance required to start.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with scripting, database, and programming in Python 3 and HTML.
Physical Environment and Working Conditions

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
