Sign Language Interpreter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a Virtual Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a critical role in ensuring that students in K-12 educational settings have equal access to education by providing high-quality interpretation services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide virtual sign language interpreting services for students in K-12 educational settings.
- Assist students in classroom activities, discussions, and other learning opportunities by interpreting spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other related service providers to ensure students' educational needs are met.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpretation.
- Attend virtual meetings and training sessions as required.
- Nationally certified interpreter (RID or EIPA score of 3.5 or higher).
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working in a remote/virtual environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs of students and staff.
- Type: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Duration: Full school year contract (with the possibility of renewal).
- Location: Remote, but candidates must reside in Georgia.
