About the Opportunity

Central Maine Eye Care, a Covenant Physician Partner, is seeking a Full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our team in Lewiston, ME.

This role will involve working closely with patients who have cataracts, corneal disease, glaucoma, diabetes, and surgical patients undergoing treatment for these diseases. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the optometrist, ophthalmologist, and support staff in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient work-ups, including VA, pressure, history, and ancillaries
  • Work effectively with physicians and medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and integrity
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant or Ophthalmic Assistant/Tech experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with physicians and medical professionals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ophthalmology experience is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in an Ophthalmology clinic, practice, or surgery center setting is preferred
