Assistant Nurse Manager - Acute Care Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at Levindale Hospital. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.

About the Role:

The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide support to the Nurse Manager and assume full oversight and responsibilities for the assigned unit/s in the absence of the Nurse Manager. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff
  • Assist in the development and implementation of unit-based initiatives
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient-centered care
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of unit policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety activities

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in acute care nursing
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • ACLS certification within 6 months (if applicable)
