Job Title: Food Fanatic Chef

Job Summary:

The Food Fanatic Chef is a key role within the US Foods organization, responsible for driving culinary innovation and sales growth. This position requires a high degree of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages and delivery to the right audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute culinary training programs for sales teams and customers.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive sales growth and brand awareness.
  • Identify and leverage culinary trends and industry conditions to spur sales growth.
  • Lead the culinary vision and bring together the team to execute food components at sales meetings and events.
  • Develop and conduct kitchen/operations assessments for customers and create action plans to address short and long-term opportunities.
  • Utilize Menu Profit Pro to enrich the customer experience and provide customized, costed recipes.
  • Work closely with the Regional Culinary Manager and sales teams to support initiatives and changes around product mix.
  • Contribute to the Food Fanatics program by participating in events, sharing best practices, and leveraging technology and virtual abilities to support customers and events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years relevant work experience, including a comprehensive culinary background.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Refined organizational and project management skills, with the ability to assert leadership abilities in planning and execution of high-visibility events and communication campaigns.
  • Expert-level product knowledge and technique, with the ability to communicate and demonstrate knowledge across multiple formats.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chef certification and membership in local and national culinary organizations.

Work Environment:

Working in a kitchen environment, either at the Distribution Center or a customer location.

Physical Qualifications:

Must be able to perform physical activities for described length of time, including standing, walking, driving, sitting, lifting, and carrying.
