General Surgeon Opportunity in Western Virginia

We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon to join our team at Physician Empire in Western Virginia. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in general surgery and advanced laparoscopic skills.
The draw area serves a population of 75,000 to 100,000, including southwestern Virginia and southeastern Kentucky. Our local primary care network consists of 10 physicians, providing a steady stream of patient referrals.
Our goal is to find a General Surgeon who shares our commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients in their own community. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
The hospital has expressed a high degree of flexibility in accommodating the needs of our new physician. If board-eligible, board certification must be completed within five years of residency completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general surgery procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary care physicians and other healthcare providers
- Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Board-eligible or board-certified in General Surgery
- Completion of a General Surgery residency program
- Strong laparoscopic skills and experience with minimally invasive procedures
