The Anesthesia Support Technician plays a vital role in assisting licensed anesthesia providers with patient care and equipment management. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of anesthesia services within the surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Management: Responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and setup of all anesthesia apparatus.
- Patient Assistance: Aid anesthesia providers in patient evaluations, monitoring, transport, positioning, and the insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions that may arise.
- Inventory Control: Maintain an adequate stock of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Preparation for Procedures: Ensure all required equipment and supplies are ready and in proper working order for scheduled, urgent, and emergent surgical procedures.
Education: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an associate's/technical degree, or four years of applicable job-specific experience.
