Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our Dirt Cheap Store locations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the front-end and receiving areas, creating a customer-friendly environment, and driving sales and profit growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute plans for coaching, training, and development of store associates
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining outstanding standards and providing a positive shopping experience
  • Financial oversight of sales and profit goals, with a focus on merchandising, expense control, and shrink reduction
  • Complete monthly Loss Prevention and facilities management audits, and implement corrective measures as needed
  • Lead regular meetings and assess changes to ensure continuous improvement
  • Perform Store Manager functions as needed, including opening and closing the store
  • Support other Team Leaders and maintain outstanding hiring standards
  • Timely and accurate completion of internal reporting processes
Requirements
  • Ability to operate store equipment, including computers, forklifts, and other machinery
  • Ability to process merchandise information through the store computer system and register
  • Ability to travel between stores with some overnight stays required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move objects up to 200 pounds with reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the store
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work irregular or non-core business hours, nights, weekends as needed
