Banking Professional

This role involves conducting transactions with speed, accuracy, and efficiency while meeting or exceeding service quality standards. The Teller II (Float) safeguards bank assets and contributes to the bank's growth by promoting and cross-selling bank products and services.

• Receives, pays out cash, handles negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
• Sets up, closes, and balances the teller station.
• Records sales of monetary instruments.
• Maintains a neat and well-stocked teller area.
• Cross-sells bank products and services.
• Follows limits established for the protection of customer accounts and bank safety and soundness.
• Adheres to bank policies and procedures.
• Assists with balancing the Vault, ATM, Night Drop, Coin Machine as assigned.
• Assists with proper scanning of bank documents and proof work.
• Exercises judgment when applying holds and making check cashing decisions.
• Cross-trains to be available to open basic new consumer accounts.
• Adheres to the work schedule. Must be flexible in availability for the work schedule.
• Maintains a positive, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Lifts coin bags up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Completes required BSA/AML and other required compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed.
• Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

• Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines.
• Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
• Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out simple multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with limited variables.
