Job Title: CNC Machinist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at General Electric Company. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating CNC equipment and performing various machining operations to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC equipment to produce parts with close tolerances and fine finishes
  • Perform various machining operations, including drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, and countersinking
  • Use hand tools and measuring devices, such as dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, and micrometers
  • Interpret blueprints and process sheets to ensure accurate production
  • Work in a team environment and participate in team initiatives
  • Receive guidance from experienced employees and contribute to the development of the team

Requirements:

  • High School Education or GED equivalency
  • 1 year of experience in machine shop operations
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices
  • Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
  • Prior working knowledge of machine shop operations

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Education and/or training in machine shop operations
  • Experience in a self-directed team environment
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
