Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families in their homes and community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of clients' developmental status and provide direct services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
- Individualized Service Plans: Participate in the development of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with responsibility for identifying goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child's development.
- Progress Monitoring: Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate.
- Service Coordination: Act as service coordinator for the family by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family on caseload.
- Family Support: Provide supportive professional assistance to families and facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development.
- Licensure: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions.
- Experience: Experience with infants, toddlers, and families is preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development, ability to engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships, commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services, excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
