Job Summary:

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team as a Part-Time Executive Chef. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of kitchen associates, ensuring the highest quality food production and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen associates to ensure efficient food production and delivery.
  • Ensure all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Supervise hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action.
  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes, meeting production, delivery, and service schedules.
  • Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase product, maintaining proper inventory levels.
  • Receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, cleaning workstations thoroughly before leaving the area.
  • Help select and develop recipes and menus, ensuring menu offerings meet customer preferences and dietary needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen associates.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting production and delivery deadlines.
