We are seeking an experienced Senior Medicare Actuary to lead our team in pricing Medicare business, including Medicare Advantage, Part D, and Medicare Supplement. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership skills and expertise in actuarial science.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of healthcare actuarial experience, with a minimum of 6 years in Medicare Advantage pricing and 3 years of staff management experience. As a Senior Medicare Actuary, you will be responsible for managing a team of five actuaries, leading rate filings, bids, financial planning, profitability analysis, and CMS inquiries. You will also create and maintain group rating models for use by underwriters.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of actuaries and provide guidance on complex pricing models.
- Lead the pricing of Medicare business, including Medicare Advantage, Part D, and Medicare Supplement.
- Develop and implement financial plans to ensure profitability.
- Manage rate filings and bids to meet regulatory requirements.
- Analyze data to inform business decisions and improve profitability.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Fellowship of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
- At least 10 years of healthcare actuarial experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Medicare Advantage pricing.
- 3 years of experience in staff management.
The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
