We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing vascular sonography and other diagnostic imaging procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Review patient history and physician's orders, educate patients regarding procedures and equipment, and prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as needed.
- Imaging Procedures: Position patients and perform imaging procedures, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Image Analysis: Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results, take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, and enter, transmit, and report scan results.
- Quality and Safety: Implement safety standards, perform quality control procedures on equipment, and report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Current certification in vascular sonography or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging or related field.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
