About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineering Manager to join our team at Apple. As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that provides the platform for mission-critical cloud systems to maintain constant uptime, scale seamlessly, and allow for new applications and services to flourish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud services
  • Collaborate with developers and architects to improve stability, security, and scalability of cloud systems
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to reduce operational load and improve efficiency
  • Manage and troubleshoot large-scale multi-tenant infrastructure as a managed service
  • Work cross-functionally to achieve project success and foster a culture of visibility and transparency across teams
Requirements
  • Technical (Engineering or Computer Science) BS/MS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Cloud Computing technologies (particularly Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Passion for automation and reluctance for manual implementation
  • Desire to build, grow, and mentor a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally to achieve project success
  • Strong philosophy of continuous improvement
  • Strong sense of ownership wanting to understand how things work and resolve root causes
