Job Title: LPN - RN Student, Acute Care

Citizens Health is seeking an LPN, currently enrolled in RN classes, to join our acute care team in Colby, Kansas.

About the Role:

As an LPN, you will provide nursing care for patients under the supervision of RNs and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care for patients, including administering medications, maintaining patient records, and participating in patient and family teaching.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining nursing skills and staying up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and practices.
  • Participate in unit communication and maintain a positive, supportive working atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Current LPN licensure by the State of Kansas.
  • Thorough knowledge of the scope of practice, principles, methods, and techniques involved in performing general nursing services.
  • Familiarity with organization, standards, policies, regulations, and procedures of hospitals as they relate to nursing service.
  • Ability to deal understandingly and tactfully in a professional manner with ill patients and their families.
