We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Heart Failure Unit at Lancaster General Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse 2, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility and accountability for patient care, adhering to the American Nurses Association standards of nursing practice.
- Provide individualized care to patients, considering their physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs.
- Work closely with the interprofessional healthcare team to facilitate coordination of care across the continuum.
- Participate in process improvement activities, focusing on increasing continuity in the nurse-to-patient relationship, minimizing rework and redundancies.
- Complete mandatory education and training, including review of age-specific needs, caring behaviors, and interpersonal skills.
- RN licensure issued by the PA Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher-level nursing degree.
- Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice.
- CPR Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support.
- ACLS Certification.
- A healthcare provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs.
As outlined in the unit-based Plan for Provision of Care.
