Job Title: Cardiac Device Specialist - Day Shift - RN CVU - Cardiovascular Unit Non Invasive

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) team. As a Cardiac Device Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to provide direct support to our Electrophysiologists, fellows, residents, students, and colleagues. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to Electrophysiologists, fellows, residents, students, and colleagues in the Cardiovascular Unit.
  • Coordinate scheduling of follow-up appointments for patients with cardiac rhythm disturbances, abnormalities, and implantable cardiac rhythm management devices.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest cardiovascular technologies and treatments.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a recognized one or two-year program in Cardiovascular Technology, Electrophysiology, or Allied Health Program.
  • One year of job-related experience required.
  • BLS certification required or obtained within two months of hire.
  • ACLS certification required or obtained within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in operating various device manufacturer programmers.
  • One year of effective clinical training as a pacemaker technician trainee or apprentice.
