Job Summary:

R+L Carriers is seeking a skilled Route Operations Manager to oversee dock and dispatch operations at our Matteson, IL Service Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage driver and freight handler teams to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Coordinate dock operations and driver/freight handler scheduling to meet customer demands.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality freight handling procedures.
  • Dispatch LTL loads in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience with a focus on logistics and transportation.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new software.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry and its challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in LTL leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of the City and surrounding areas.
