Job Summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs, inspections, and diagnosis on our fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs, inspections, and diagnosis on diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, transmission, suspension, and air brake systems.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to determine failure modes and complete required documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA Standards and company policies.
  • Develop fellow technicians' performance by training when assigned.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in diesel mechanics.
  • Yellow iron experience and experience using oxygen/acetylene equipment, precision measurement instruments, and diesel specification.
  • Medium/Heavy Truck Master ASE Certification and valid driver's license.
  • Must have their own tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Brake Certification and valid Class A Commercial Driver's license.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
