Epic Travel Staffing is currently seeking a travel nurse RN for a position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Position Overview- Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
- Discipline: RN
- Employment Type: Travel
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift: 12 hours
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit. This includes:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitoring patient conditions and reporting any changes.
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Valid VA or Compact License.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Experience in IV Start and Telemetry.
- Background in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant care.
- BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility is preferred.
The Progressive Care Unit is dedicated to pre/post-operative care for kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as other surgical overflow cases. The unit features:
- A 3-4 patient to nurse ratio.
- A 26-bed capacity with an average daily census of 22 patients.
- Regular use of Alaris pumps for medication administration.
