Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Fort Bend ISD. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling systems in our schools and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration units
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating and cooling systems
• Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid Texas driver's license
• A valid State of Texas TDLR ACR Certified Technician License
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, or completion of an HVAC trade school program
• Ability to respond to emergency calls and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Working Conditions

This role requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting/carrying work-related items weighing less than 40 pounds. You will also be required to work in a variety of environments, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor settings. You must be able to maintain emotional control under stress and work in a team environment.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position that requires occasional overtime and on-call work. You will be exposed to a wide range of climatic conditions, dust, and other environmental factors. You must be able to wear and use safety clothing and equipment and comply with safety policies and procedures.
