Position Summary
The Culinary Service Associate is tasked with various responsibilities, including monitoring and documenting food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food supplies, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, and processing payments for food and beverages through a computerized register. Adheres to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to ensure food safety. Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively with patrons and colleagues. Demonstrates the ability to build strong working relationships.
Ensures adherence to quality control standards. May operate various kitchen equipment, including grills, beverage dispensers, toasters, ice cream machines, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, and refrigeration units. Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred.
Must be able to work independently when necessary and possess a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Demonstrates the ability to remain on feet for extended periods and cover significant distances.
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years old. Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, and food service is preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions is essential. Basic math skills are required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Depending on the hiring location, Serv Safe certification may be required within a specified timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be necessary based on location requirements.
