Under the guidance of the department manager or Vice President of Patient & Clinical Services, you will play a crucial role as a member of the surgical team, ensuring high-quality care for surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a secure and sterile surgical environment, while also observing and instructing fellow team members on proper surgical practices. Your actions will reflect the core values and mission of Providence Health and Services, as well as the Standards of Conduct upheld by Providence Mount Carmel Hospital.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent education/experience.
  • Relevant experience to effectively perform job responsibilities.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) training program or equivalent education/experience.
  • Current employment as an Operating Room Technician.
  • Training in Central Service.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) upon hire.
  • Experience in Central Service.
