Your Role:
As a Cardiovascular Operating Room RN, you will:
- Recognize and address both the psychological and physical needs of patients.
- Ensure continuity and quality of care with a focus on the well-being of patients and their families.
- Assess patients' medical conditions upon admission.
- Assist in formulating individualized treatment plans.
- Adhere to evaluation, treatment, and documentation protocols.
Your Qualifications:
We value individuals over resumes, yet we maintain high standards, requiring:
- ASN/ADN from an accredited institution, with the expectation to obtain a BSN within four years of hire, unless you have a minimum of 15 years of continuous RN experience in an acute care setting.
- Current RN license in Colorado or a compact license with the ability to obtain a Colorado RN license.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire (with prior approval).
- At least one year of cardiothoracic nursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical services environment is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to see and read information, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patients and care providers require effective verbal communication and the ability to quickly understand spoken information, especially in emergency situations. Manual dexterity is essential for manipulating complex equipment accurately, which includes regular computer use for documenting patient care and accessing information.
Employees should be capable of lifting and utilizing a full range of motion to transfer patients, as well as retrieving, lifting, and carrying supplies and equipment of varying weights. This may involve navigating crowded spaces and standing for extended periods.
