Bilingual Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Social Worker to join our team at AppleOne. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and service providers to provide information, referrals, and assistance.
- Facilitate the hiring process with consumers and providers throughout San Diego County.
- Conduct telephone intakes, provide interview assistance, and mediation.
- Perform home visits with consumers and maintain electronic case files and case notes.
- Mandated reporters, reporting abuse to Adult Protective Services.
- Utilize specialized computer applications to enter and retrieve information, process eligibility determinations, and prepare correspondence.
- Exercise tact, objectivity, sensitivity, strategy, and judgment in dealing with various populations.
- Read, interpret, and apply instructions, procedures, emails, and correspondence.
- Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Proficiently use Windows operating systems and MS Office Suite programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Zoom, Adobe Sign, and CMIPS II.
- Proficient communication in English and Spanish is required.
- Thorough knowledge of methods for identifying, assessing, and addressing consumer needs.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local programs available to elderly individuals and people with disabilities.
- Knowledge of mental health, elderly, and disabled home-care needs and issues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, groups, and community agencies.
- Thorough knowledge of business English and Spanish, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.
