Your Role in Our Story

You'll perform comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Regularly assessing the effectiveness of your treatment plans, attending staffing meetings, and family conferences will ensure seamless collaboration and optimal patient progress.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and create personalized treatment plans addressing speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Regularly reassess treatment plans, attend staff meetings, and family conferences to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Conduct discharge evaluations, provide recommendations for home and community safety, and offer referral and education resources as needed
  • Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, caregivers, and family members
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to enhance patient outcomes through coordinated care and efficient communication

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • A valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice
  • Current CPR Certification in accordance with state regulations
  • A minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform duties requiring fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods
