About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mammography Imaging Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform mammography images through clinical protocols and position patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, respecting comfort and ability.
  • Equipment Operation: Demonstrate knowledge to perform mammography through the use of radiological equipment, developing films in accordance with proper techniques.
  • Image Evaluation: Evaluate mammography images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.
  • Patient Education: Provide patient education on procedures according to age-specific needs, facilitating patients' cooperation and alleviating anxiety by addressing concerns.
  • Procedure Verification: Verify appropriate procedures to be performed by checking physicians' orders, outpatient prescriptions, and prior reports, contacting physicians with discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • License/Certification: Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire, Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • Experience: One (1) year of mammography experience preferred.
