Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Educational Caregiver to join our team at the Alpine Union School District.

About the Role:

The Educational Caregiver will work under the supervision of the site principal and the Extended Student Services (ESS) Coordinator, overseeing the activities of elementary school-aged children enrolled in our extended student services program. This role requires a strong ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist instructional personnel with lesson planning and material development
  • Select and direct engaging activities for students
  • Supervise classroom, playground, and study trip activities
  • Support reading and literacy skills through one-on-one instruction
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
Requirements:
  • One year of experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable
  • Educational background equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, preferably supplemented by courses in child care, supervision, psychology, or guidance
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and parents
