Manufacturing Technician

Job Summary

Imperative Chemical Partners, Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Andrews, TX. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the mixing of raw materials to create finished products according to batch sheets. Your attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures will ensure the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning all equipment, tanks, and vessels as needed
Observing and following safety procedures and SOPs set by the company
Referring all issues to the lead/supervisor
Transferring finished product into drums and totes to complete orders
Assisting other technicians as needed
Preparing containers for filling
Ensuring all chemicals returned to inventory and containers are labeled and clean
Setting up and monitoring all mixing tanks, vessels, and mixers
Obtaining and understanding all documentation for blending products
Ensuring all finished chemicals are put into inventory with the correct quantity and information on the chemicals
Operating all equipment, including tanks, mixers, scales, meters, pump, etc.
Completing all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner
Submitting finished product samples to the lab for approval
Monitoring all temperatures on batches that require heating and cooling
Verifying raw chemical usage on each batch are added correctly with the correct unit of measure
Moving chemicals within the yard and plant on forklifts
Able to work with limited supervision

Requirements:
1-2 years' experience in a blending or mixing environment
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must be able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, including safety rules, operating procedures, batch recipes, and material identification
Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, as well as making necessary conversions
Able to handle 55-gallon drums and other containers up to 60 pounds
Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
Must be certified to operate a forklift
Must have basic computer skills
Displays good troubleshooting skills

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
At times, a hot and dusty environment
Must be able to pick up 60 pounds
95% of the day will be spent on your feet
