We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our clients in the Alexandria/Arlington, VA area. As a per diem nurse, you will have the flexibility to choose your own schedule and work at your own pace.

This is an on-call position, requiring you to be available to perform occasional home visits and answer calls Monday-Thursday 5:00p-8:30a and/or Friday 5:00p-Monday 8:30a. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, each with their own unique needs and challenges.

Responsibilities include:

  • Following a designated care plan in accordance with patient's needs
  • Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories
  • Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures
  • Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager
  • Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders
  • Performing client assessments as necessary
  • Case management and coordination
  • Accurately documenting observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to client care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet

Qualifications for a Registered Nurse (RN):

  • A current license as a Registered Nurse in VA.
  • A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
  • Prior home care experience strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
  • Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
