Meets financial objectives by forecasting needs; preparing annual budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing discrepancies; and initiating corrective measures.
Confirms financial standing by overseeing revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing specialized reports.
Maintains accounting integrity by establishing a chart of accounts and defining financial policies and procedures.
Guides other departments by researching and interpreting financial policies; applying insights and recommendations to operational challenges.
Ensures financial security by implementing internal controls.
Avoids legal complications by understanding current and proposed regulations; enforcing financial compliance; and recommending new procedures.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred; candidates with a Business or Finance degree and substantial experience in the energy or chemicals sector will also be considered.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller and 10 years in accounting and related financial management roles is required.
CPA certification is mandatory.
Experience in the energy and/or chemicals industry is preferred.
Candidates must be located within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.
Remote work options are not available for this position.
