Responsibilities:

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for the daily sales operations at the designated merchandise area within the hotel. This includes operating a Point of Sale cash register, managing cash transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.

  • Assist customers in the retail environment by delivering exceptional service and product knowledge.
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Conduct sales transactions accurately using the cash register and ensure proper cash handling.
  • Manage cash flow from the cash management system and complete necessary documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail space, reporting any issues to the Team Leader.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies by monitoring for theft and ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
  • Open and close the retail location as required.
  • Some positions may require specialized skills such as candy production, stroller rentals, or photography. Candidates with these skills will be placed accordingly.
  • Support the Team Leader with additional tasks as needed.
  • Ensure product presentation is maintained to enhance the shopping experience, including organizing merchandise and ensuring availability.

Qualifications:

  • California Food Handlers Card may be required for certain locations.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Willingness to learn about the products offered.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must pass a background check if 18 years or older, which may include credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, in accordance with company policy.
